i went out and found myself
now i wish i was someone else
because all you got to see
was the fucked up side of me
that i tried to keep
caged inside of me, so deep
this is what it looks like
when i pretend im not in pain
and this is what it looks like
when i throw myself away
but im gonna keep holding on
im gonna keep being wrong
im gonna keep running away
because everyone let me down
and everyone watched me drown
i went out and found myself

and it kills me
to see you cry
the sadness shining in your eye
and theres no reason to keep living a lie
you can run away
try to find a safe place
where you can hide
and watch me get pulled away in the tide
because this is what it looks like

no no, the repetition emphasizes what you're saying.
its obvious its in a lyrical song format.

this really reverberates, with how ive felt throughout this year.
